When it came time to eat cake, I was so excited thinking he was just going to jump right in, but he has again proven me wrong. He was very modest and dipped just the tip of his fingers into the cake and sucked on his fingers. The only time he got the cake on his face was when he went to wipe his eyes because he was so tired. And then he was mad that he had stuff on his face.
Finally, presents time! Guess what! He was a little interested. He wasn't interested in the wrapping paper or the bags, but when the toy came out there were little " OOooos" of excitement!
All in all it was a great first birthday bash! Nothing big and nothing small, just right!

Don't worry- next year he'll be ripping into that cake I'm sure! It looks like it was a nice get together. Whose yard were you in? It looks fabulous! Lots of space to run and play. Oh yeah, and Happy birthday Mason!

Well, it looks like Mason made out like a bandit! Annie and Benjamin did the same thing when it came to eating cake, it was more like what...you want me to get dirty! I can't believe Mason is one already, time sure flies by!
